At the Hand Therapy Center, we feel a positive, healing environment is necessary in the recovery process and essential for achieving your personal goals. That’s why our team of Hand Therapists are occupational or physical therapists who have extra training experience, and specialized knowledge of UE functions to work together continually assessing your progress and designing the most effective treatment to decrease your pain level and restore range of motion, strength, and function of the upper extremity. Our Hand Therapist is certified by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) which requires five years of experience as a physical/occupational therapist, 4,000 hours of direct patient experience in Hand Therapy and the successful completion of the Hand Therapy Certification Exam.

To Receive Treatment: All that is required is a prescription from your physician for occupational therapy. Upon referral, our staff evaluates each patient and a problem specific treatment plan is developed. During the treatment process, we provide on-going communication about treatment goals and progress. The hand therapist works with the patient, physician, caseworker, and significant others, starting within days of the injury or surgery; right through to the patient’s return to work, sports and/or a productive lifestyle.
