HARDIN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
There are more than 150 active members of the Auxiliary who volunteer throughout the hospital. These men and women give approximately 40,000 hours each year and raise thousands of dollars, which they return to the hospital through major gifts. While a patient here, you will see volunteers working in many capacities. Some of these include performing clerical duties, serving as hosts and hostesses in the surgery, ICU and CCU waiting rooms, delivering flowers and mail, working the front desk, and escorting you to various departments. They also are busy behind the scenes helping out with statistics, education, and working in the Gift Shop, among others.
When a person becomes a volunteer at Hardin Memorial Hospital, he or she automatically becomes a member of the Hardin Memorial Auxiliary. Through this organization, the new volunteer meets many new people and associates with an organization well known for its generosity. Informative quarterly meetings and social events add to the enjoyment. If you would like to learn more about volunteering at Hardin Memorial Hospital, please call the Volunteer Services Department at (270) 706-1713 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.Auxiliary/Volunteer

Young men and women between the ages of 16 and 20 can explore the health care field though the HMH Teenage Volunteer Program. Following orientation, each volunteer chooses to be placed in one of many areas in the hospital, including nursing, dietary, business planning, medical records and rehab, to name just a few. Volunteers are always carefully guided and supervised by staff members. Many former Teenage Volunteers have gone on to careers in health care. Some are employees of the hospital today.
