CANCER CARE CENTER SERVICES
It is the expectation of our patients and their families that Hardin Memorial Hospital’s cancer center provide the latest in technology, access to the most current chemotherapy regiments, and diagnostic testing that can be offered in a community based facility. It is important that our patients who are undergoing very rigorous therapy don’t have to drive an hour, one way, to get these services. We want our patients to know when they come to the Cancer Care Center of Hardin Memorial Hospital that they are also receiving a comprehensive holistic approach to their care.
NursingThe nurses in the Cancer Care Center have specialized knowledge and skills in the treatment of cancer and work as part of the cancer team to deliver sophisticated treatment procedures.
Radiation TherapyRadiation Therapy offers radiation oncology services, utilizing a modern, three-dimensional treatment planning computer and a linear accelerator.

At the Cancer Care Center of Hardin Memorial Hospital we can provide all modalities of post surgical cancer treatments conveniently located in one facility. Radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, PET/CT treatment planning, social services, nutritional and pastoral counseling are all available to our patients. Our radiation and medical oncologists work side by side to evaluate our patients. Cancer screening for the detection of early disease is a critical mission of our organization. Thorough and effective education of our patients, their disease, and their treatment choices, is a critical factor in working collaboratively with the patient.
Dietary CounselingDietary Counseling provides our patients with nutritional information, which can impact the efficacy of cancer treatment.

Program CareProgram CARE educates people about their disease and helps them cope with the emotional and spiritual problems they may encounter at different points during the cancer experience. Services include conferences, spiritual support, educational materials and referral to outside agencies.
Prevention ProgramsPrevention and early detection are the best defenses against cancer. HMH's Cancer Care Center offers annual prostate screening, an annual breast cancer awareness campaign and annual skin cancer screenings.
