Basic Life Insurance
Employees are covered by Hardin Memorial Health’s group life insurance plan. Full-time employees have coverage of at least $25,000, or, if more, one times base annualized pay. Part-time employees have coverage of $10,000. Benefits are doubled for accidental death. Employees also have the option to purchase additional coverage up to five times base pay to a maximum of $500,000. You can choose to double the additional life insurance you purchase by adding accidental death and dismemberment to your coverage. Disability Plans
Hardin Memorial Health provides short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) coverage for eligible employees. For an approved disability, The first 40 hours that you are off are charged to your paid time off (PTO) balance. Then short-term disability pays you 60% of your base earnings. Should you be out of work on short-term disability for six months, Employee Health will contact you about applying for long-term disability benefits. Like short-term disability, the LTD plan pays 60% of your base earnings for as long as you are disabled.
Because saving for your future is important, Hardin Memorial Health offers a convenient way to contribute to your retirement by providing you with a Pension Plan. A variety of different investment options are available ranging in risk tolerance from low to high in order to help you meet your personal investment strategy. For each plan year (July through June) in which you have at least 1,000 hours of service, the hospital will credit your retirement account with an amount equal to 3 percent of your pay for that plan year. Deferred Compensation Plans
HMH employees can participate in the deferred compensation programs of the Kentucky Public Employees Deferred Compensation Authority. All HMH employees are eligible to participate.
There are several investment options, including a 401(k) and 457 with an option for Roth 401(k), Deemed Roth IRA and deemed traditional IRA. Employees contribute either before tax, through the 401(k) and 457 or after tax through the Roth options. HMH matches your contributions at 50 cents on the dollar up to an amount equal to 5% of your base pay. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
HMH offers up to six visits annually per need per family member is provided by Hardin Memorial’s EAP.
