CPR & FIRST AID CLASSES
An estimated 700,000 Americans will suffer a heart attack this year. Are you prepared to help? Listed below are the American Heart Association courses that are available through the Health and Wellness Department of HMH. Classes are scheduled for organizations or businesses interested in group instruction.
Individuals that respond to a cardiac emergency. This course is recommended for worksite situations that have the potential for cardiac emergencies.
This American Heart Association Course teaches CPR with barrier devices and relief of foreign body airway obstruction in the adult/child, and infant. Successful completion of this course requires a manikin skills evaluation. There is no written exam. A completion card will be issued and is valid for 2 years. Length of course- Approximately 3 hours. Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED
Target Audience: Individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency in worksite situations.
Class Content: This American Heart Association Course integrates training in First Aid, Adult CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) until professional help arrives. Course includes First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Successful completion of this course requires a CPR & First Aid skills evaluation. Healthcare Provider CPR
