February - Cholesterol Screening
If you are over the age of 18 you should have your blood cholesterol checked every 3 years. This lab work includes - total cholesterol, cholesterol/HDL ratio, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. Participants are taken by appointment only. There is a fee for this service.
October/November - Flu Shots
Cold and flu season will be here soon. Yearly flu shots can help decrease your chances of becoming ill.. To schedule onsite flu vaccination for your business or organization call: (270) 706-1250. There is a fee for this service.
Skin cancer is the most prevalent of all cancers. A dermatologist (a physician specializing in skin disorders) will briefly conduct the screening. Participants are taken by appointment only. There is no fee for this service.
Additional Health Screenings
For additional health screenings in your neighborhood visit the WOW Wellness on Wheels mobile health unit. Monthly preventative wellness screenings such as cholesterol and blood glucose help you learn about your potential health risk factors for heart disease or diabetes.
