Need New Ideas for Health Education?

Health educators provide on-site classroom instruction!

It's as easy as ABC...

  • Adventure – hospital adventure introducing medical services for grades K-12.
  • Bugs/Germbusters hand washing puppet show recommended for grades K-3.  Hygiene Helpers is available for 4th and 5th graders.
  • Circulatory system (heart/lungs) recommended for grades 4-8 and Career Connections is recommended for grades K-12.
 And…1, 2, 3 
 
  1.  Plan ahead.  Schedule your guest presentation at least one month in advance.
  2. Coordinate dates and times with other teachers in your school.  
  3. Call the Community Education Department at (270) 706-1250.

    Hardin Memorial Hospital has received the Get With The Guidelines®–Resuscitation Silver Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. The recognition signifies that Hardin Memorial Hospital has reached an aggressive goal in using guidelines-based care to improve patient outcomes from in-hospital cardiac arrest. Hardin Memorial Hospital received Get With The Guidelines Silver Performance Award for reaching an aggressive goal of treating heart failure patients with 85% or higher compliance to core standard levels of care as outlined by the American Heart Association for 12 consecutive months.

  • HARDIN MEMORIAL HEALTH'S DAY OF SERVICE AT SPRINGHAVEN, INC

    On Friday, April 26th 2013, SpringHaven, Inc. Domestic Violence Shelter welcomed approximately 120 volunteers from Hardin Memorial Health’s (HMH) Leadership Development Institute. The management staff of HMH donated $6000 to fund the day’s projects. The day of service, coordinated by United Way of Central Kentucky, will include volunteer teams tackling building improvements and landscaping.
