Hardin Memorial Health (HMH) announced the selection of Tracee Bell Troutt as the Chief Development Officer for the Hardin Memorial Hospital Foundation.  In her new position Tracee, a longtime Elizabethtown resident, will expand HMH’s community outreach and grow its capacity to serve the region.
"We're delighted to welcome Tracee to Baptist Health's extended family," said Baptist Health CEO Stephen Hanson. "Tracee's experience with Greater Louisville Inc. and other organizations gives her just the right skill set to help us strengthen relationships within the healthcare community, the business community, and the community at large. This is important because if we are truly to improve the health of Hardin County and the rest of Kentucky, it's going to take all of us working together."
“A prosperous Foundation allows HMH to expand its ability to provide top quality care, state of the art facilities and best of class physicians to provide for the health and well-being of everyone in our region,” said Dennis Johnson, President and CEO of HMH. Johnson said that Troutt will undertake a community engagement effort and help grow a greater understanding about the tremendously positive impact HMH has regionally.   “Our team of world-class nurses and physicians perform miracles every day.  Tracee and her new Regional Foundation Board will help foster a stronger understanding and connection between HMH and the leaders in the 10 counties we serve.”
Johnson cited ever-increasing operating expenses and reduced reimbursements by insurance companies as the challenges HMH and all health care providers face.
“The Hardin Memorial Hospital Foundation can not only help bridge that gap but also grow HMH’s capacity,” said Troutt.  “We are incredibly blessed to have this economic driver and this level of quality health care close to home.  I am honored to serve HMH, the top notch physicians, Board and team members who work in our 45 locations and I look forward to getting more leaders investing in and involving themselves in HMH’s amazing work.”
Prior to joining HMH, Troutt enjoyed a successful tenure at Greater Louisville, Inc., Louisville’s Chamber of Commerce, from 1997 through 2013.  She served in a number of capacities including Interim President & CEO, and most recently as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer.  Before joining Greater Louisville, Inc., Troutt worked for The Cobb Group and The Courier-Journal.  An active civic volunteer, she received a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a Master of Arts in Communications from Western Kentucky University.
