For youngsters in need of hospitalization, a stay in our pediatric unit provides an opportunity for children and their parents to feel comfortable and to be part of the treatment process. The Pediatric staff at Hardin Memorial Hospital recognizes each child as a special, unique person who needs the care of our staff, as well as the continued care of his or her family. In our pediatric unit we focus on a youth orientated atmosphere.
• We recognize each child’s individual needs in planning care
• We communicate appropriately with the child and parents concerning the child’s condition and care
• We are understanding and considerate of feelings and concerns about an ill child
• We will make a positive experience out of any child’s stay in our pediatric unit
