Hardin Memorial Health (HMH) announced the expansion of two specialty services in Campbellsville. HMH now offers cardiovascular and critical and pulmonary care services at a new medical facility at 101 Winston Way, Suite 100.
Krishnan Challappa, M.D., who has provided cardiovascular care in the area for many years, is now seeing patients at the new location on Winston Way. HMH cardiovascular services include prevention, early diagnosis and advanced treatment for patients through the recovery process. Providers diagnose, treat and manage common and complex cardiovascular diseases including coronary heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure/hypertension, and rheumatic heart disease.
“Timing is everything when it comes to conditions of the heart, including prevention,” said Dr. Challappa. “Our new facility will allow us to serve more Campbellsville residents, and I look forward to working with Dr. Mathew to provide comprehensive care to patients with critical care needs.”
Kelli Mathew, D.O., is currently establishing a new critical and pulmonary care practice at the Campbellsville facility. HMH offers comprehensive critical and pulmonary care services for adults with life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Dr. Mathew will be on-hand to assess and treat patients with coronary and respiratory healthcare needs.
“The number of patients from Taylor County and surrounding areas we see across HMH continues to grow,” said Assistant Vice President, HMH Medical Group Sheila Smallwood. “Patients traveling to Elizabethtown for critical services made the decision to grow the existing HMH Central Cardiology practice and offer more services very easy. We look forward to growing the specialty clinic in the years to come.”
Patient and physician referrals are available now. Patients may schedule appointments at HMH’s new Campbellsville facility by calling (270) 789-9640 for Cardiovascular Services and (270) 706-5787 for Critical and Pulmonary Care Services.
