As part of National Robotics Week, designated by Congress to inspire students of all ages to pursue careers in robotics and other STEM fields, Hardin Memorial Health (HMH) hosted a Student Technology Leadership Day for 5th grade students identified by their respective schools as technology leaders. They saw first-hand how HMH uses technology to improve patient care.
Fifth graders in the Student Technology Leadership Programs (STLP) at Morningside Elementary School and Heartland Elementary School along with a group of students from Saint James Regional Catholic School “scrubbed in” for a tour of an operating suite and a demonstration of the Da Vinci robot.
Students also had the opportunity to see and learn about the use of technology in the HMH Emergency, Laboratory and Radiology Departments.
