HMH Social Worker awarded Marc Lehmann Award

Kristina Kopp receives award

Congratulations to Kristina Kopp, MSW, CSW!!

Kristina Kopp, a Hardin Memorial Health (HMH) oncology social worker, was named the 2019 HMH recipient of the 2019 Marc Lehmann Spirit of Service Award.

The Marc Lehmann Spirit of Service Award identifies and recognizes physicians, caregivers, and support staff whose careers encompass outstanding service to patients and their families in the fields of Hematology and Oncology.

Kristina joined HMH in 2017 when the HMH oncology service line expanded services to include a dedicated oncology social worker. Kristina has provided exceptional care over the last two years to cancer patients and their caregivers during their very challenging journey.

“Kristina treats our patients, their families, and coworkers with the utmost compassion and respect,” said HMH Interim Assistant Vice President of Oncology Bob Lunt. “She would have excelled in any avenue of social work that she could have chosen, but we are glad she decided upon oncology. Our program is stronger because of her.”

Former HMH recipients include Mary Anne Squires, a radiation therapist and Yvonne Davis, a patient care assistant.
