At Hardin Memorial Health, we know that waiting for a diagnosis can take a toll on patients. Our skilled medical professionals work together to provide an accurate and thorough diagnosis for our patients.
“We know that this is a very difficult time for our patients, and we work hard to have a quick diagnosis – but more importantly, we want to have an accurate diagnosis,” said Dr. Jessica Clevenger, pathology, HMH.
Working together, the HMH team consults imaging and pathology results to determine the unique diagnosis for each patient.
“When we’ve made a diagnosis, that information is sent to the referring provider, who reviews the case and notifies the patient,” Clevenger said.
Along with expert medical care, HMH, through their Multi-Disciplinary Breast Program, gives comfort and confidence during the next phase of treatment and beyond. Whether a patient needs a space for quiet or someone to listen, we have dedicated staff to provide emotional support, including nurse navigator Audrey Cleaver.
A breast cancer diagnosis is a shock to everyone involved – the patient, her family and her friends. HMH understands this and has a team of people ready to provide aid when needed.
