New Medical Building Taking Shape

Bardstown Medical bldg ProgressThe new HMH medical facility in Bardstown is making great progress, with several steps in the building project now complete.

The HMH Bardstown Medical Group Office Building will be home to HMH’s growing Bardstown Family Medical Center as well as to multiple specialists.

Recent progress includes the first layer of asphalt in the parking lot and the completion of water and sewer lines. Several sets of stairs have also been completed and the exterior of the building is beginning to take shape.

Bardstown Family Medical has served the region for more than six decades, and was beginning to outgrow the existing space on South Fifth Street. The new 70,000-square-foot facility will support the growth of HMH caregivers for many years.

The new building will house laboratory, diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular, rehab and disease management services and provide space for specialists in urology, general surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, pulmonology, cardiology and ear, nose and throat.

HMH has partnered with Medcraft, a national leader in the development and management of ambulatory care and medical office buildings, to complete the $20 million-plus project.

Medcraft will lease the property to HMH. With a sole focus of healthcare, Medcraft has completed more than 80 projects in its 30-plus-year history.

In addition, the seven-acre site, situated between Walmart and Corvin’s Flooring and Furniture, allows for future expansion if needed.
