Walk-in traffic from Hardin Memorial Hospital’s parking garage will be rerouted beginning Monday July 10th to accommodate construction.
All non-ambulance emergency department patient drop-offs will enter through the main admitting entrance.
Walk-in patients and visitors parking in the garage can access the hospital from the gate at the center of the parking garage’s north wall. This temporary access from the parking garage will be used while crews construct a new sidewalk connecting the parking garage and the main admitting entrance.
The 14,000-square-foot emergency department expansion, scheduled to be complete in early 2018, will create a more secure emergency department that responds to patient safety needs, optimizes flow and provides even higher quality treatment. HMH is growing its emergency department to meet the needs of a growing region. Originally designed to serve 44,000 patients annually, the emergency department now sees upwards of 70,000, ranking the fourth busiest in Kentucky.
