• Professional: Dr. Abel received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at Wheeling Jesuit University. Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Abel was a track and field, and cross country coach at both the high school and collegiate levels. He attended medical school at the West Virginia University School of Medicine and graduated in 2016. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Abel stayed at his alma mater (WVU) to complete a Family Medicine residency in 2019. Special interests include: COPD/Asthma, Diabetes, High blood pressure, Medication compliance/safety, Preventive Medicine, Wellness across the lifespan
• Personal: Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, Dr. Abel holds small communities and connectedness they provide dear to his heart. In his free time, Dr. Abel enjoys spending time with wife and two children, running, listening to music, and watching collegiate sports (especially football). He and his family reside in Bardstown.
