Multi-Disciplinary Breast Program: Diagnostic Mammogram, MRI or Ultrasound
While screening mammograms are used as a preventative measure, diagnostic mammograms, as well as MRIs and ultrasounds, are used to address atypical breast concerns. These could include a lump, discharge, pain or abnormal screening mammogram.
Our Women’s Imaging Center and Elizabethtown Diagnostic Imaging have state-of-the-art equipment and top medical teams ready to help analyze the concern and determine a course of action.
“Diagnostic mammograms, MRIs and ultrasounds go beyond a regular, yearly breast cancer screening to offer a more comprehensive assessment,” said Stewart Couch, MD, Radiology at Elizabethtown Diagnostic Imaging. “Our team of professionals offer the utmost respect and care when working with our patients.”
Baptist Health Hardin’s Multi-Disciplinary Breast Program serves the community, offering comprehensive care close to home. Our Woman’s Imaging Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This designation is given to centers that have earned accreditation in mammography and breast ultrasound, among other breast imaging procedures.
